Even the names keep getting better. From Musical Instrument Digital Interface to ModPlug to Fruity Loops. Mmm, don’t those loops sound tasty! Well, mostly they didn’t. Certainly in the beginning. I was amazed by the beautiful interface of FL Studio but also so lost in its enourmous complexity that only a few clicks later I I created a killer beat. Literally.
Sometimes – though rarely would be a better word – a more or less decent sound popped up. And after a few days of experimenting like this, I collected enough of those sounds to knit together a song of about 2 minutes. So I did.

Hive Buster was actually not a very serious creation, it was more of an experiment. But maybe it’s useful for some weird psychological tests about the reasons for failure of indie artists. Who knows. That’s why I included the FL Project file, a how-not-to-do-it 101.
